Students Review :

I have been most fortunate to spend a week in the lovely studio of the famous Artist Ric Standridge. There were (6) of us with varied experience in figure drawing. There were two exquisite models who were able to assume positions I have only previously seen in museums. The week was thrilling, and I was feeling that my abilities became consciously better as the week progressed. I am grateful to all, for fun and friendship under the guiding master’s hand. Thank you, to the marvelous Mr. Standridge, Artist extraordinaire.

What a beautiful experience! My mom and I took a figure drawing class with Ric and I have to admit that I was a little nervous. I love and appreciate art very much, the human form and I adore and collect Ric's work, but I was a bit intimidated at the idea of producing it myself in front of him and other artists. I admit I did not know what half of the art supplies even were.

Ric has a true gift, not only as an artist, but also as a teacher. He is generous, intuitive and communicates with grace and kindness. I had instant comfort in his class. As we went through the exercises, the time just flew by. He played incredible music and gave us permission to relax and tap into our creativity. I was pleasantly surprised at the results and had so much fun! This experience confirmed that this is a part of my mind and soul that must be explored regularly. I am grateful for this time with my mom and myself. I recommend the classes to anyone curious about improving their artistic abilities.
